Volunteer with Treeforestation
Our Treeforestation program uses a volunteer-driven approach to restore local forests to native habitats accessible to nearby communities. These events take place at our Treeforestation sites around Cincinnati in partnership with Cincinnati Parks.
As a Treeforestation volunteer, you'll do things like:
Remove invasive species: Help us remove invasive plants and vines from ongoing restoration projects. Staff and knowledgeable volunteers will be present to assist in plant identification and plant removal.
Grow and plant native trees: Volunteers and students collect seeds from local parks to grow into young tree saplings. These saplings can be replanted within restoration sites once invasive plants have been removed.
Maintain trails: Trail construction and maintenance will take place throughout the growing season. Building good trails ensures that the forest will be used by students and community members.
